Prompt Engineer Reflection
In my prompt for Chat GPT I told the chatbot, “Alter my resume to be designed for a (Finance/IT) job that I am applying for. Highlight my skills that would appeal to a committee looking for an employee proficient in the field of (Finance/IT).” I used Finance for my first alteration and IT for my second. The AI changed the wording of each of my job descriptions to focus on skills that would be used in a field of Finance or IT. This was because it adhered to my prompt that an employer could look at my resume and see skills that would apply to their position that needs to be filled. The AI also changed my skills listed in the bottom of both resumes to show I was proficient in skills related to the target field. I learned that prompt engineering forces you to be specific when addressing an AI. However, that specificity is what creates positive and desired results. Displaying skills most desired to different audiences will create better results. As portrayed in displaying different skills that are tailored for their designed audience.
